Objectives

The Indian Film and Television industry has had plenty of award institutions. With many new awards being created by media entities, there was a need to differentiate the genre, content and entertainment potential of this medium. The growing popularity of live televised events inspired us to identify a niche and launch a unique platform that had been ignored for many years in spite of being one of the key pillars of Bollywood.

The awards were created as an annual showcase to celebrate the success, achievement and contribution of the Indian music fraternity to Indian cinema. The platform was an instant hit with eminent music stalwarts. Not only did the entire industry come forward in support of the platform, but several key personalities also joined the jury to play an active role in ensuring the success of the awards.

Result

The inaugural awards were launched at a star-studded event at the befitting mecca of Music -The Royal Albert Hall, London and were attended by a full house, including dignitaries and celebrities. The event became a successful run-on television, reaching millions of households across Asia, UK and America.

The event offered a unique platform for sponsors, audiences and artists to recognize and celebrate the success of Indian music in cinema.
