Hyundai H-Social Creator
Objectives
H-Social Creator (HSC) is an annual social innovation program by Hyundai Motor India Foundation that has been curated, adapted and developed as an asset for India under Asset Communications from 2019 and then taken over by ASRA in 2021.
The program aims to provide a platform for young minds to showcase socially relevant and life-impacting innovative ideas on Road Safety, Environment, Cleanliness and Healthcare.
Hyundai Motor India Foundation invests Rs. 15 Lakh every year on the winning idea(s) to create a sustainable and meaningful change for a better tomorrow.
Project Execution
The 1st edition of the H-Social Creator, which was in its pilot phase, was held in 2019, in 5 cities viz Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai. Activation and promotion of the contests were done across 25 colleges of those 5 cities.
Live & on-ground events were held in 10 of those 25 Colleges to guide and support their students.
The focus was on road safety, environment and clean India.
The 2nd edition was hosted in the year 2020 of Covid-19. Colleges were physically shut so no events were permitted. Hence, the outreach plan was undertaken purely through digital engagement.
The scope of the event was increased to include 'Health' besides road safety, environment and clean India. The campaign was also scaled multi-fold. Over 200 identified institutions and colleges were invited to come on-board officially to be a part of this program via convincing/pushing their students to participate. A rigorous digital direct reach program was carried out executing over 300,000 emails and messages.
In its 3rd edition of HSC 2021, with the settling of Covid-19, we decided to mix the engagement with online and offline activation and further multiply the scale of the program.
On ground activation was conducted in 18 colleges of 9 cities across the country.
Digital activation included a total of 900,000 emails sent out and engagement through text and WhatsApp messages had 435,000 students reach.
This campaign enhanced the program's reach with institutions where over 250 colleges were invited to join HSC 2021 officially.
